THE ADVANTAGE OF EDUCATION FOR HUMANS

The Advantage Of Education For Humans

Many people think that education is very important for humans. We all appreciate that education is extremely important and crucial to our lives but it is also clear that not everyone can receive the level of education they have a right to. This leads us to divide people into two groups, educated and uneducated people. Both of these types of people have their advantages and disadvantages which can be evaluated in terms of economic power, social status and mentality. Jitendra
Kumar Sahu (2013)  argued that The education is the base of humanity’s development, without education a human being is just like any other animal. This opinion is strengthened by the success of a person with education. Education makes a person can think logically. Knowledge of an educated human is different with the uneducated. Educated men who know what good it does. Education train a person's skills to improve the quality of himself.  Skills reliable make someone work professional.

When we talk about educated and uneducated people, the first thing that comes up for discussion is level of income. There is no doubt that educated people are presented with a lot more opportunities than uneducated people. Their certificates achievements are what count most of the time and as they have more opportunities to have a good job, they have a better income and consume better food which leads to a longer life. On the other hand, uneducated people who have not completed their minimal educational qualifications do not have much chance of having a good, well-paid job unless they are very lucky. For this reason they have to work in simple jobs or perform very hard labour work in construction or fields increasing the risk of illness and poor health. Unlike educated people who earn more over a lifetime which means a higher quality of life, uneducated people do not have enough income to make ends meet for their families pushing them deeper into poverty.

Level of income leads us into social status. Educated people with a high level of income seem to be a respectable figure for other people whereas uneducated people are viewed in a different light. Uneducated people do not choose to be in that condition of poverty but due to not achieving any level of education which is a basic human right they have not had the same chances in life. Another reason why educated people have a superior status in the eyes of society is because of the way they act and communicate in life but it would not be false to say that sometimes uneducated people beat the educated in terms of being social or respectable. Mentality of both groups can be delved into further where it is generally assumed that educated people are open-minded and uneducated people are closed minded. When a person has gained high quality education they most certainly have an advantage of greater knowledge about the world and other people. Uneducated people tend to follow the same paths and practises of their parents and what they experienced in their life and going forward the same mentality is passed onto their children who do not realize the importance of education through no fault of their own.

Historically, the goal of education was to prepare individuals for life, shaping intellect and character, and instilling ethical and moral values. Today's version appears more focused on proficiency, and has transformed into training. It incorrectly assumes that training and education are synonymous. The distinction between the two has practically been eradicated. Nowadays, students take a very vocational approach to their studies, with the attitude that if the subject matter cannot be directly applied to their jobs or to revenue stream, then it is not worth studying.
Some people learn what they have to learn long before they are supposed to graduate. These people drop out and continue to learn in their own way. Some of them don’t even have formal education at all. For a gifted and dedicated personality, not even lack of education is an impediment.

There are many uneducated people who changed the course of humanity, such as Faraday, one of the greatest scientists of all time, he was born dirt poor and had no formal education at all. But when he started working for a bookbinder, he read up on a lot of science from the books he bound. He even offered to become an assistant to various scientists, but they all refused. Then he took the matter into his own hands and discovered electromagnetism, invented the Bunsen burner, discovered benzene, and made the first electric motor and generator, becoming one of the most important scientists of all time. In addition, another example is Benjamin Franklin, the co-author of the Declaration of Independence of the USA, Benjamin Franklin contributed to drafting the Declaration Of Independence when the United States achieved independence.  He dropped out of school when he was just 10.

Albert Einstein, the man whose name now equates to “genius”; who published more than 300 scientific papers; the man behind E=MC2; the man who came up with the theory of relativity; and the man who won a Nobel prize—was in fact a high school dropout. He attempted to get into university, but initially failed the entrance exams.Einstein eventually made it into college and earned a degree, of course, because men of his staggering intellect always find a way in the end. But the simple fact of the matter is that the greatest mind of the twentieth century was in fact a high school dropout.
If you mean by educated, the “learned” ones then you are right. But if you mean by educated, the ones who have college degrees, then may be you are wrong. Education need not occur in schools and colleges and need not be authenticated by degrees with distinctions. Education can occur at homes and on the streets and places not even remotely related to the blackboards or whiteboards. But assuming that by “educated” you meant not the superficial ones, it is all but too easy to understand why the educated are humble and the uneducated are full of arrogance. Being educated not only makes you learn things but also makes you aware of what you don’t know. And the truly educated ones learn that “what they don’t know” is far greater in volume than “what they know”.

Arrogance comes from lack of self-awareness. It arises from one’s lack of ability to see one’s own limitations. The “educated” knows his/her limitations. He/she knows and can clearly identify who is better than him/her and where he/she lacks the punch. That ability to finely observe oneself is found missing in the arrogant. Arrogance also develops due to the lack of enough challenge and competition. You are not pushed hard enough, you get everything on your plate, you are standing on somebody else’s shoulders, you never know and are never exposed to the kind of brilliance that exists in the world. In short, you are never threatened enough to feel the need to divert your attention to your drawbacks. You are always in a safe and secure position which is held by you because there is no worthy opposition and with time you develop this idea that you are the best simply because you never faced anybody better than you.
Ultimately, an education is key to improving the quality of human life. It’s the core where the combined knowledge, skills, customs and values are passed on to the new generation, and are essential in the development of an individual. In addition, the positive influence that these individuals can have on society once they are armed with the knowledge and experience to make a difference is immense, and there is no doubt that education is key to a world that is also a great place in which to live.
